Flight Lesson 12
Basic Instrument Review - Dual

 

Objective:
The student will gain basic proficiency in instrument scan and orientation.

  1. Constant airspeed climbs.
  2. Steep turns (45-degree bank).
  3. Constant airspeed descents.
  4. Straight-and-level.
  5. Slow flight.
  6. All required stalls: power-on, accelerated, power-off.
  7. Unusual Attitudes.
  8. VOR interception and tracking.
  9. ASR approach (radar or instructor).
10. Takeoff and landing.

Completion Standards:

Altitude +/-100 feet, Heading +/- 10 degrees, Airspeed +/-5 knots, proper scan pattern, a maximum of one second looking at each verification instrument.
