Flight Lesson 7
Review Critical Flight Situations and Takeoffs & Landings - Dual

Dual 1.0 Hour (all approximate)
Pre/Postflight 1.0 Hour (all approximate)

Objective:
The student will become more proficient in recovering from critical flight situations and acquire a basic understanding of
takeoffs and landings, and traffic pattern operations.

  1. Slow flight.
  2. Power-on stalls.
  3. Accelerated stalls.
  4. Power-off stalls.
  5. Emaergency landings (minimum 3 with at least one to the ground at an airport)
  6. Takeoffs and landings.
  7. Crosswind takeoffs and landings.
  8. Slips to landing.
  9. Emergency go-arounds.
10. Aborted takeoffs (report to tower first)
11. Wake turbulence avoidance.
12. Wind shear recognition.

Completion Standards:

Ball within 1/2 width, Pattern (Altitude) +/-100 feet, Airspeed +/-10 knots, Heading +/-10 degrees.
